Where to investigate:

I cannot stress this point enough...INVESTIGATE ONLY WHERE YOU HAVE PERMISSION TO BE. It is a black eye on the face of our research community any time an alleged paranormal investigative group is found to be trespassing, and charged with said crime. We all look like fradulent psychos then.

Do not go into closed cemetaries, do not go into abandoned buildings, do not go creeping around peoples homes to take pictures. We are not urban explorers. We are not stalkers, we are not cultists. We are scientific researchers/documentors. If you cannot obtain permission to investigate a place, chalk it up to a minor setback, and move on to the next target.

Cemetaries are indeed, repositories for the dead...but that does not mean that there are ghosts or paranormal activity there. There might be the occasional haunt in one, but for the most part, they are serene, quiet places to pay respects to the departed. If you think it cool to hang out in "creepy" places, perhaps you should discontinue paranormal investigations, and join a goth band, instead.

Otherwise, there is noplace off limits. Homes, buisnesses, wharehouses, strip malls, zoos, theatres...all have the potential to harbor paranormal activity. But remember...GAIN PERMISSION FROM THE OWNER/MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR/POLICE DEPARTMENT FIRST.
