Hauntings

There are considered to be three different types of hauntings.

• Residual
• Intelligent
• Inhuman

Residual: 

 This is the type of haunting that occurs at a certain place, at a certain time, in a certain path. For example, footsteps that traverse the same path every night, once a month, once a year etc. You may build a wall where there was not one before, and the footsteps will continue on through it, as theough it is not there at all. The nature of such types of haunts is much like a recording. It will play when the circumstances are correct, for a finite amount of time. It is not aware of you, nor the passage of time. This is not a free thinking entity. It is merely a playback of a past scenario. Cold spots and EMF spikes may accompany such activity.

Intelligent:

 This type of haunting may exhibit some of the same characteristics as a residual haunt, however, in an intelligent haunting, the entity is aware, and most likely trying to communicate with you. This may be by voice, by responding with knocks, or bangs to questions asked of it, by moving of objects or even by physical touch. Moving cold spots and high EMF spikes may accompany such activity.

Inhuman:

 In the field of paranormal investigations, it is generally accepted that an inhuman is a being, spirit, entity etc. that never walked the earth in a human form. I am hesitant to call them demons, devils or any other dark moniker, as we are not yet certain what exactly, they are. Manifestations of this kind are a bit more intense than the other types. There may be fetid smells, harsh physical contact (to include slapping, pinching, biting, scratching) oppressive feelings of dread, gloom and fear. Along with the examples already mentioned, there may be object movement as well.
